‘RE-VEIL’ THE FABRICANT X TRS.MNZ NFT COLLECTION

Digital fashion pioneers at digital fashion house The Fabricant recently collaborated with digital artist @trs.mnz, winner of its recent Making Strides competition, to create its latest collection, called Re-veil.

Re-veil dropped as a collection of digital fashion NFTs that was, and has been available for auction on the Foundation platform since Thursday 13th May.  The Re-veil collection confronts the topic of fearless self-expression in the digital world. And is designed as three separate digital headpieces that draw on historic fashion references. The collection questions the traditional use of headwear as a means to hide one’s identity and instead reimagines them as tools for bold and fearless self-expression. It asks us to re-veil and reveal our true selves. Each of the three looks is designed to provoke dialogues on the topics of gender, identity and personal freedom.  According to the fabricant team:

“The collection advocates for the digital environment to be a place where the boundaries and limitations of the physical world are removed, allowing more open, fluid and creative self-expression, where women and people who do not conform to gender stereotypes can be free to show their true, uninhibited selves.”

The Fabricant is at the forefront of a new iteration of digital fashion NFTs. Its recent NFT collection, RenaiXance, designed in collaboration with RTFKT Studios, sold out in minutes.

Prior to the auction commencing, The Fabricant will release a free wearable digital filter of one of the designs via its Instagram account, allowing its audience to digitally try on one of the Re-veil headpieces.

The Fabricant has an open-source history of openly sharing the digital files of its creations with its digital fashion community, allowing creators to iterate their own versions of its designs. Its Pluriform design philosophy supports the degendering of fashion towards a more fluid expression, and all of its pieces are designed for any body type or size. Collections tackle topics such as gender diversity, identity exploration and freedom of self-expression.

For the Re-veil drop, it has invited creators to a ‘Remix Challenge’ of the collection - the garment files are available for free on The Fabricants’s website and users can iterate their own versions of each piece. The winner of the challenge will be invited to participate in a paid collaboration with The Fabricant.
